was a Spanish Brig of War that was loaded down with newly-minted Mexico City Silver Coinage. King Charles III sent it to the Spanish Colonies near New Orleans in an effort to rescue their struggling economy.
It never reached its destination.
In 1993, a fishing trawler named, "THE MISTAKE" pulled its nets up from the floor of The Gulf of Mexico to find this remarkable treasure!
