From the Estate of the opera legend Jessye Norman.  Ms. Norman has relinquished some of her jewels as she is no longer performing on the world stages.  Many of these jewels have been worn at concerts and special appearances around the world.  We feel so fortunate to have a wonderful selection of the dramatic and inspired jewels from Ms. Norman's extraordinary personal collection.  These include pieces by Isabel Canovas, Van der Straeten, Kenneth Jay Lane, Vogue, Nina Ricci, Iradj Moini, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Ciner, Schiaparelli, Sonia Rykiel, Gerard Yoska, extraordinary opals she collected herself in Australia and many many more!  Her jewels reflect her dramatic and consumate vision of the world!

New York City-based designer Gerard Yosca is a legend among the fashion and jewelry elite. For nearly three decades, the Parson’s School of Design graduate has created innovative, trend-setting collections that inspire year after year. Devoted to American craftsmanship, the self-taught designer has designed jewels for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Nicole Miller, and Tracey Reese, but it’s his namesake collections — meticulously handmade in his NYC studio alongside his loyal staff — that show the true breadth of his inspiration. His passion lies in the steadfast belief that the customer should see “the hands of the artist” — a mantra that sets him apart from his jewelry world peers. Yosca is a long-standing member of the CFDA, has sat on their Board of Directors for 12 years, and was honored with a nomination for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2005.
The magnificent signed Yoska brooch is 2 1/8" (53 mm) by 2" (50 mm).  It is signed YOSKA.  It is in superb period condition and sparkling vibrant and divine!
This is a very special brooch - truly Museum Quality design and artistry.  And belonging to the legendary Jessye Norman.  I just cannot say enough about the beauty of this piece!
