NGC Certified 336-323 BC Alexander III Kingdom of Macedon AR Drachm Silver Coin
Alexander III of Macedon or commonly known as Alexander The Great, succeeded his
father King Phillip II at age 20 and spent most of his ruling years conducting military campaigns
throughout Western Asia and Northeastern Africa. By the age of 30, he had created one of the
largest empires in history stretching from Greece, to Northwestern India. Undefeated in battle
he is considered to be one of history's most successful commanders. This coin was
struck shortly after his untimely death.
