Item:  From a group of jewelry I bought at an estate auction, here we have a Wonderful vintage brooch from Yves Saint Laurent; it is in a heart shape, with a basketweave design to it, and the letters “Y.S.L.” on the front, although the bottom of the “S” and “L” were not included in the design.  It does have the full letters on the back, along with “Made In France”.
The first photo above shows the front of the brooch; It’s hard to see in the photo, but the left side of the heart shape is slightly raised, while the middle right portion, just to the right of the “Y”, is sunken in a little.  I don’t see any signs of it having been bent, so I believe it was made this way to add to the texture.
The second photo above shows the back of the brooch.
The third photo above shows a closer look at the makers marks on the back.
